In 2002 TEC put the finishing touches on its second peeling and framing line. This new design, unique to the industry, adds operational reliability and improves worker safety.
In 2000, a contractor refurbished some existing railroad track
and constructed new track leading to the new cylinder. The track
is used to move poles.
In the fall of 1999, TEC bought and installed a
used cylinder - its fourth - for conditioning poles at the Treating
Division. It also purchased new instruments to monitor and record
temperature, pressure and vacuum readings during the treating process.
